Baseball Battles Cancer
Baseball Battles Cancer was started by PJ and Elizabeth Arway after watching close family members lose their battle to cancer, and wanting to find a way to continue the fight against this horrible disease. With PJ’s passion for baseball, in specific American Legion baseball, Baseball Battles Cancer was brought to life. The event teaches young players that they can use the gift of baseball to raise awareness and funding to fight the disease. This event enlightens all players, parents and fans about the warning signs and treatments for a variety of cancers. Since Baseball Battles Cancer’s partnership with the Jason Motte Foundation, over $126,000 has been raised for the foundation. To find out more about Baseball Battles Cancer, visit their website.
